How to Fix Rust Startup Error?

Other Reasons why Game Not Launching Fix

It may be that your anti-virus software, such as Windows Defender, is keeping Rust from launching for you. 

The anti-virus can either be disabled or the game's folder can be excluded from your anti-virus.

It's possible that the game doesn't have administrative rights if this does not solve the problem. The game's executable file can be opened by right-clicking it. Click on the properties tab. Select Compatibility.

Make sure that “Run this program as an administrator” is checked. It should run fine if you start the game.
