Your saved games folder is located in a different location according to the version of Windows you are using.
GTA 5 save games can be found here:
- C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\Documents\My Games
- C:\ProgramData\Socialclub\<YourName>\<YourNumber>
- C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles
Note: Open the task manager by clicking ALT+TAB while it is running. You can access Details by right-clicking the exe. You can also select “show folder location”.
Note: The hidden folders in Windows sometimes need to be shown. In order to do that;
- From the taskbar, you can access File Explorer.
- Choose view. Click on Options. Adjust folder and search preferences.
- Click on the View tab. Select the Show hidden files option in Advanced settings. Click the OK button.
Mods Folder
Steam
The GTA 5 mods folder should reside in the following directory if you have downloaded GTA V via Steam:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V
A mods folder needs to be made if you haven't done so already. Grand Theft Auto doesn't automatically create the folder.
Rockstar Games
You should have your mods folder here when you install GTA on Rockstar Games' Steam platform:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V

Scripts Folder
